Orange Martini

Martini Cocktails are a fun way to enjoy an adult beverage. But making them at home is expensive with so many ingredients to purchase. It is easier to be adventurous in trying different cocktails when dining out. At least if you don’t like the cocktail we did not invest in the ingredients. But sometimes you get lucky and have an adult beverage that is a must make at home. That happened to us when enjoying an Orange Dream Martini at Applebees. This led to research and fun experiments to develop a similar version. Our version is simply called an Orange Martini.

The key to this martini is using Pinnacle Whipped Cream Vodka with it smooth and creamy vanilla flavor. A touch of light creams continues to blend in the creamy flavor. And naturally the orange juice adds the orange flavor and then a generous topping of whipped cream! For a sweeter version, add a shot of Orange Liqueur!

Making an Orange Martini

Let’s start with gathering our ingredients, martini shaker, and glasses since the martini is quick to make! Now let’s add ice to a martini shaker. Add the ingredients except whipped cream and garnish toppings. Shake to chill and blend the ingredients. Pour into a martini glass. Add a generous amount of whipped cream. Gently stir the whipped cream into the martini. Garnish with orange zest or a slice of orange.

For a sweeter Orange Martini add 1 ounce of Orange Liqueur. Homemade whipped cream is the best as it will introduce a thicker appearance to the drink. The picture on the left is Applebee’s and mine is on the right. I used a store bought whipped topping – it was still delicious. But any time you can use homemade in my opinion is always better. Applebee’s version is generous with the whipped topping but I like to balance it with the actual Orange Martini Cocktail. Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong with either version as they are a bit of heaven on earth!!
