Thursday Doors – Children’s Playhouse Boldt Castle
Thousands Islands is a wonderful destination filled with many treasures! Boldt Castle is always a joy to visit. Today’s doors are from their Children’s Playhouse. The views from the doors are spectacular! Unfortunately the family never had a chance to live in this castle as Louise died unexpectedly shortly before its completion.
Thanks to Norm 2.0 for hosting this wonderful series highlighting the beauty and anticipated adventure of going through a door!

What an interesting place (and a saddening to the story). I have never heard of Boldt Castle and Alexandria Bay, NY. Next time I travel to that area (we were not too far away a few years ago), I will definitely schedule a tour. Amazing!
It is a beautiful area! I hope you have a chance to visit. 💕
Aww! That would have been a terrific play experience! Glad it’s been preserved.
It has a bowling alley! It is incredible. 💕
What a great place to play! It’s a shame their son didn’t live to be able to use it.

Yes it is sad that the family never had a chance to enjoy this beautiful mansion.
We were actually there just a few weeks ago! I’ll have a few post about it in the weeks to come. The whole area is so pretty.
It is a beautiful area! 💕 A relaxing get away. 💕
This is nice! But it’s sad they were not able to put it to good use.
Yes, it really is a tragic story.

I never thought of doors like this before. I love it! I’ll try to find a good door for next Thursday…
I love doors – especially quirky unusual ones. 🙂
What an interesting place!
It is a throw back to a different time. Love the history of the early 1900’s. 💕💕💕
