I haven’t experienced that wind chill factor since a visit to our families in New Jersey some Christmases ago. Even our Alaskan cruise wasn’t that cold.
The top of Mt. Washington is one of the most beautiful places to be and it can be brutally cold with high winds. This was taken during the month of September where the temperatures were nice – except until you got to the top of the mountain!
Wow! 53 to 63 mph wind gusts?? I thought we had torrential gusts at 35 mph! Can’t imagine 65! That’s damage personified!
It was windy on top of Mt Washington! I had a hard time walking. The highest winds were recorded on this mountain. It is a amazing place! 💕
Wow! It’s a wonder you didn’t get blown off the mountain!
Right?! We spent our time in the building. Next time we went it was not as windy and was clear. Very beautiful. I will need to post more pictures.
Hi Bernice looks like a windswept wordless Wednesday.
Yes. It is on top of Mt Washington NH. The highest winds were recorded on this mountain. 💕
Where are the hats and gloves…brrrrrr! What an amazing thing to do!
It was cold! They warn you at the bottom of the mountain how cold it is. But some insist on wearing shorts or other clothing not suitable. Luckily being from Buffalo NY I have a higher tolerance for the cold weather. It was a lot of fun. 💕
