Sloppy Joe Mix Preparation
In a large skillet, heat the Olive Oil over medium heat.
Add the Ground Beef cooking for 5 minutes or until cooked through.
Stir the ground beef periodically breaking it apart.
Once the ground beef is cooked, remove from heat and spoon into a colander. Drain and then rinse the cooked ground beef with hot water.
Wipe out the skillet used to cook the ground beef. Using the same skillet, heat more Olive Oil.
Add step 2 ingredients cooking for 5 minutes or until tender.
Mix in step 3 ingredients. Cook for a minute to start heating the ingredients together.
Mix in the drained cooked, ground beef. Stir until incorporated into the tomato paste mixture.
Add step 4 ingredients. Stirring after each ingredient.
Stir together all the ingredients ensuring the sauce is mixed well with the cooked ground beef.
Cover and simmer over low heat for 10 to 15-minutes or until the mixture has thickened to your preference.
Serve over a toasted seeded roll.
Toasted Roll Preparation
In a heavy pan, heat 1 tablespoon of butter.
Once the butter has melted, add the rolls flat side down.
Cook, uncovered over medium-low heat for 3 to 5 minutes until lightly brown.
